In memoriam: Former Evanston City Clerk Sandra Gross
In memoriam:
Former Evanston City Clerk Sandra Gross, 88, died Thursday. She served as clerk for two terms, from 1977 to 1985. She held a master's degree in English from Northwestern and edited This is Evanston for the League of Women Voters. Her family writes that "Sandy was also an unforgiving editor and critic of her children’s essays, although not unfairly so, they reluctantly admit." Services are set for Thursday.

Sandra was a “Life Member” (50 years of service) of the League of Women Voters of Evanston.
